"First Time Around" is the first recording by Coyote Ridge.  It was recorded in 2007 and
released by the band in early 2008.

Band members on this recording are:
Doug Stuart:  Guitar and Vocals
Stacey Stuart:  Vocals
Eddie Ingram:  Acoustic Bass and Vocals
Lenward Camp:  Banjo, Mandolin and Vocals
Greg Henkle:  Mandolin

The group showcases everything from old traditional numbers to three original compositions.

Rain Please Go Away:
This is our version of the old Del McCoury standard.

I'm Gonna Sleep With One Eye Open:  Stacey puts her vocals to work on this old Flatt & Scruggs number.

He Walked That Road to Calvary:  An original gospel number by Eddie Ingram.

Lonesome Fiddle Blues:  We first tried this old Vassar Clements number at a spirited jam session! Even though
we                                                      didn't have a fiddle we just had to record it.

1893:  Written by Doug's father, Jerry Stuart, this piece tells the story of a man imprisoned for murder in the
late                     1800s.  It covers all the bases of a good bluegrass murder song...the girl, the murder, Jesus and dying.  If
it only                 mentioned momma and a train....hmmm.

How Mountain Girls Can Love:  This features Eddie on the Stanley Brothers standard.

Prayer Bells From Heaven:  One of our favorite gospel numbers from the Jimmy Martin camp.

Lost In The Dark:  This original piece showcases Greg Henkle's playing and writing skills.

Your Love Caused The Tears:  An original from Lenward Camp in a Monroe flavor.

I Surrender All:  A standard old hymn that was adapted by Doug and Stacey.
